Jeff L. has been confirmed as the missionary that GrX will be sending to East Asia. Jeff's tentative departure date will be June 1, 2008. The next few months he will be preparing himself to go overseas. East Asia funds will be used to support Jeff while he is there.

Narrowing ministry opportunities and target ministry group in East Asia. Post college/young adult group seems to be our best bet right now. East Asia's greatest need right now among young Christians (twentysomethings) is spiritual mentors. Opportunities include teaching English as a second language, business, International church, and house churches. We met with an international Christian relief organization to discuss ministry opportunities in East Asia. Our contact shared with us that Christianity is the weakest in a booming major port city in the East Asia mainland. He recommended that we take advantage of our age and life stage to minister to college students and post-college young adults.
